Portsmouth Police Investigate Homicide

On August 31, 2011 at 9:05 PM, Portsmouth Police Officers responded to the 3700 block of Columbia St. for a report of a gunshot wound.  Upon arrival, officers found a male inside a residence with a gunshot wound.  The male has been identified of Leon Golliday, Jr., 32 years old, with a last known address in the 3700 block of Columbia St.  Mr. Golliday was pronounced dead at the scene of an apparent gunshot wound.  The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
